How to use Due Dates to ensure you keep ontop of service levels agreed with your customers

Updated over a week ago

If you have agreed a date with customers for a job to be completed by or if you have a timeframe ( SLA ) a job has to be scheduled by, you can use the due date selector. This feature works well when you are recieving a job in from a customer but they havent provided you with access details or you have to call someone else to schedule the visits, but you are restricted as to when the job needs to be done.

To use this feature when adding a job, scroll down to the "dates" section and add in a due date, which can be a date or both date and time

  1. Go to the Jobs section.

  2. Select the Add Job option.

  3. Enter details and scroll down to the "Dates" section

This feature is not restricted only to new jobs, existing jobs can also be edited and a Due Date can be added at a later date.

  1. Select an existing job and, view it.

  2. Clivk the Edit button.

Using Due dates with recurring jobs (multiple visits)

This is a very useful feature when creating a job that will require multiple revisits that do not have specific time intervals or scheduled dates.

If you just want to create a series of recurring jobs e.g once a month for 12 months, you know when they need to be done by e.g. the 30th of each month, you can create a due date for the first and it will automatically pull over due dates for the rest of the visits for the 30th of each month.

How the Due Date shows on the jobs listing page

If a due date has been added to a job, you will be able to see it in the main jobs list page, in the due date column. It will show in red if its due today or overdue and in black if its due in future.

How the Due Date shows on the scheduler

If a pending job is overdue on the scheduler, you will see the brick appear in the pending list of jobs to be scheduled with a red boarder and red heading

Filtering by Due Date

You can easily filter by due date by going to the filters > Due date > selecting a date from the drodown or a custom date range
