QR codes and barcodes are widely used for asset management due to their efficiency in tracking and identifying items. Through Workever you can now assign QR codes to assets.
Assigning a QR code to an asset
Physically attach QR codes or barcodes to each asset. This could be on a sticker or tag. through the Workever mobile app you can then assign the QR code to an asset. To do this you will have to tap the More option from the bottom
Tap the Assets button
Tap the Add button from the top right hand side
After adding the Asset details tap the QR code option
Tap the Scan QR code button to scan the QR code and assign it to the asset.
When the Bar/QR code is added to the Asset you can click the Save option from the top right hand side to save the changes.
Searching for assets by QR code
You can also search for Assets as long as the QR codes are added to the assets. In order to search to the Asset you need to go to More and tap the Assets option.
You then need to tap the Scan QR code button from the bottom of the page
Scan the QR code from the asset and the app will then display the asset profile from the Workever account.
