QR codes and barcodes are widely used for asset management due to their efficiency in tracking and identifying items. Through Workever you can now assign QR codes/Barcodes to stock items.

Assigning a QR code/Barcode to an stock item

Physically attach QR codes or barcodes to each stock item. This could be on a sticker or tag. Through the Workever mobile app you can then assign the QR code to a stock item. To do this you will have to tap the More option from the bottom.

After that tap the Cost List option

Tap the Add button from the left hand side and select the Stock Item option

After adding the stock item details tap the Bar/QR code option

After that tap the Scan Bar or QR code button to scan the QR code and assign it to the stock item.

When the Bar/QR code is added to the Stock Item you can click the Save option from the top right hand side to save the changes.

​Searching for stock items by Bar/QR code

You can also search for Stock items as long as the Bar/QR codes are added to the stock items. In order to search to the Stock Item you need to go to More and tap the Cost List option.

You then need to tap the Scan bar or QR code button from the bottom of the page

Scan the Bar/QR code from the asset and the app will then display the asset profile from the Workever account.
